The Northlake Fire Protection District is a separate government body known as a Special District.
 
The District serves the areas of Northlake as shown in the red-shaded area in the map to the left.
 
Northlake’s airspace includes two runways which split aerial regions from aircraft taking off from O’Hare International Airport located four miles from the Firehouse.
